On-Site Specialty Camps

Grades:   4th – 7th

Dates:   June 21 – August 13     (2 Week Sessions)  - $410

On-Site Specialty Camps offer campers an opportunity to focus on a particular interest and passion.   Campers will spend half of their day at the specialized area and choose one or two Traditional Day Camp Skill Classes to fill their day.

The following Camps being offered this year are:

Session 1 - June 21 – July 2

Cooking – Beginner 1 -- Come learn the basics in the kitchen.  Measuring, cutting and cooking will be the main lessons.  During Family Night, a display of culinary delight will showcase the hard work and newly learned skills.
Archery 1 -- Suitable for all levels of Archer.  Come work with our Archery Specialist to learn basic and advances skills on our simple bows.  Can you hit a balloon from 100'?  Take this opportunity to perfect your skills and learn new techniques.                                             
Sports Camp 1 --  Sports Camp will be on the move.  Using all field space, every ball, every basket, and field goal these campers will play new and traditional games.
Pottery 1 -- Take some time to spin a bowl.  Perfect some glazing.  Use clay to make an ever lasting table piece.  Our Pottery Instructor will teach basics and refine skills of this ancient art.  The kiln will be used to preserve these pieces.
 

Session 2 – July 5 – July 16

Cooking – Advanced 1 -- Are you already a professional in the kitchen?  Take this class to step-up your skills and get even better.  This program heads to the Community Farm to help weed, pick, pluck, and plant for half the day for one week.  Fresh produce are brought back from the farm and integrated in to the daily food.
Mountain Biking   1 -- Learn how to repair a tire, replace a chair and head-up large hills.  Explore local trails and hit some big puddles.
Fort Building -- Head in to the woods with our counselors and help create some forts out of natural materials.  Structures will be kept to one level.  Be a part of a growing tradition at Camp.
Magic -- Well trained Magicians will wow and dazzle groups large and small.  Come learn the secrets of the trade from our Resident Magicians.
 

Session 3 – July 19 – July 30

Woodworking -- Our Woodshop continues to grow and the projects keep getting better.  Come learn some basic and advanced skills from our Woodworking Specialist and take something great home.
 

Session 4 – August 2 – August 13

Outdoor Living Skills -- What does it take to spend a night in the woods? Can you build and start a fire with only one match? Come learn basic survival skills and put them to the test with your counselor in the woods on the last night of the program.

Off-Site Specialty Camps 

Grades:   5th – 8th          
Dates:   June 21 – August 13     (2 Week Sessions)  - $470
 
These off-site programs provide the opportunity to travel away from Camp for half of the day and gain expertise in a specific area. The second half of your day is spent in Camp participating in Traditional Camp activities. Check out our website for more specific details on each program.
 
This year, the Off-Site Specialty Camps are:
 

Session 1 - June 21 – July 2

Horse Camp 1-- Travel down the road to Hidden Pond Farms and learn how to tack, ride, feed and care for horses.  You will be working with highly trained staff members to become a good rider.
Adventure 101-- Surf, bike, hike, kayak and relax on the beach.  These two weeks will be spent on the move all day, every day.  Are you ready for an adventure?  Come join us and have the chance to volunteer one of the days.
Tennis 1 -- Work with our Tennis Pro at a local court to establish and refine your skills.  We are working with the National Tennis Association and relying on assistance from Tennis Pro's at Camp Lincoln.
 

Session 2 – July 5 – July 16

Horse Camp 2 -- Travel down the road to Hidden Pond Farms and learn how to tack, ride, feed and care for horses.  You will be working with highly trained staff members to become a good rider.
Golf 1 -- Head to Apple Hill Golf Club to work with First Tee NH.  Your skills will be polished and your shots will be more pure.  Using the core values of the game, First Tee staff members will help incorporate Golf and life lessons.  You may bring your own clubs (labeled with your name) or use Camps.
Movie Production 1 -- Lights, camera, action! It takes writers, directors, actors, and gaffers to make a production happen.  Come participate in the next summer classic.  Our experienced staff members will help everyone find their role and the films debut will be made during Family Night.  Don't miss this opportunity!
