Community Support Campaign Scholarships
We strive to serve our entire community and scholarships are made available through generous program supporters – individuals, businesses, and organizations throughout the area including United Way of the Greater Seacoast and Rockingham County contribute to our Community Support Campaign.
Your contribution to our Community Support Campaign helps local families and campers realize the positive impacts YMCA Camp Lincoln & Gundalow can have on the community. Our core values and leadership development are more powerful when everyone is involved. In 2009, the Scholarship Committee reviewed 110 applications and distributed over $50,000 for local youth to benefit from YMCA Camp Lincoln & Gundalow. You can be a part of this success and make a tax-free contribution through our website, or send a check noting Community Support. Thank you for helping us to build strong kids, strong families and strong communities.
To be a scholarship recipient, download an application packet from our website at www.ymcacamplincoln.org or call the camp office for more details. Only complete applications will be considered.
YMCA Camp Lincoln and Gundalow accept payments from the States of NH and MA for childcare assistance. If you take advantage of these programs and would like to send your child to camp, please contact your caseworker for the appropriate forms and availability. Please bring a lunch, drink, and snack in a cooler or lunch box each day. Review packing list in confirmation packet for more information. Reusable water bottles should be brought full everyday with the camper’s name on it.
Lost & Found
Personal items left at Camp will be cleaned and donated to local charities at the end of each Camp Lincoln Session or every two weeks at Camp Gundalow. Items of significant financial cost will be held in the Camp Office until the end of the summer and then donated to a worthy cause.
Accommodations & Special Needs
During Camp, a 1:1 Aide is required to accompany any child that has a 1:1 Aide assigned to them during the school year, regardless of the aide’s function. We do not hire or provide aides. It is understood that all campers are treated as individuals with respect shown for different tastes, preferences, and a range of behavior patterns. All children of varying abilities are welcome at Camp, however, we require that the safety and security of everyone is maintained. The YMCA reserves the right to dismiss a child from Camp whose special needs we are unable to meet or whose conduct is not in the best interest of Camp and the other participants. Please call the Camp Director if you have questions regarding the accommodations and special needs of your camper. Refunds will not be granted if a camper is dismissed from Camp.
Behavior Policy
We enforce and abide by the four core value of the YMCA – Respect, Responsibility, Honesty and Caring. When a camper has issues following the expectations of our programs, parents will be notified and corrective guidelines will be set. If the camper’s behavior continues to disregard Camp Policies, the camper will be dismissed from the program. If violent or threatening behavior towards another camper or staff member occurs or damage to Camp &/or other property is caused, the camper may be dismissed from the program (ie: hitting, kicking, threatening, and damaging of property). Refunds will not be issued in any instance that a camper is dismissed from Camp.
Health Information
Health Forms
NH state law requires that all children attending Camp in New Hampshire have a record of inoculations and a physical exam signed by a physician be on file with YMCA Camp Lincoln and Gundalow. There needs to have a valid signature dated within the past two years of the Camp attendance dates. Health forms are due by June 1st and must be sent in every year. If a child arrives at Camp without their health forms on file, they will not be permitted to participate.
Health Center
We take great care in making sure that your child is safe at Camp. A well-equipped Health Center is located on Camp and is staffed by a trained and certified professional. Emergency services are located in a close proximity of both properties. All staff is certified in CPR/First Aid.
Emergency Procedures
YMCA Camp Lincoln & Gundalow have Emergency Procedures that are reviewed on an annual basis. In the event of an emergency or delay in programming, we will send a Tweet through Twitter ( www.twitter.com/CampLincoln & www.twitter.com/CampGundalow ) and start making phone calls to parents of participants immediately impacted by the event. A letter will be sent home if deemed appropriate by the Director of Camping. In the event of an emergency, please be conscious of our limited phone space and trust that we will contact you if your child is being immediately impacted by the event.

The information sessions are designed for first time parents and campers. This is an excellent opportunity to talk to staff, meet the Camp Director and register for camp sessions that still have openings. Due to possible weather conditions, there will not be any guided tours given. You are more than welcome to do a self-guided tour of the property.
We will be at Camp Gundalow in Greenland on Saturday March 6th, from 1pm to 3pm
We will be at Camp Lincoln in Kingston on Sunday March 7th, from 1pm to 3pm
Open House
Come take a guided tour and meet other campers and their families. This is a great time to get answers to any questions, drop-off payments and health forms, take a guided tour, meet staff and get excited for the summer.
We will be at Camp Gundalow in Greenland on Saturday May 1st, from Noon – 3 pm.
We will be at Camp Lincoln in Kingston on Sunday, May 2nd, from Noon until 3pm.
Family Nights
Every Thursday at Camp Gundalow parents are invited to come to Camp between 6 pm and 8 pm to go swimming, eat some hot dogs and be shown around Camp by your camper. Find out what excites your camper most about Gundalow and have a chance to meet their counselors.
Family nights are held at Camp Lincoln on the second Thursday night of each two-week Traditional Day Camp session between 6 and 8 pm. This is a great chance for parents to meet staff, enjoy a bite to eat, and participate in the fun of camp through activities such as swimming, boating, and archery. The evening ends with songs and skits around the campfire.
For both programs, a layover option is offered for the time between the end of Camp and the beginning of Family Night. Sign-ups for layover will take place during the session.
